The Brazil national football team, already qualified for the 2026 World Cup, will face Chile at the Maracanã Stadium on September 4. Coach Carlo Ancelotti announced the list of 25 players called up, including 10 newcomers, for the last games of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Among them are midfielders Lucas Paquetá and Joelinton, and forwards João Pedro and Kaio Jorge. In addition, goalkeeper Hugo Souza, left-back Alex Sandro, and defender Fabrício Bruno are the only players who play in the national league. The coach explained that he wants to get to know the players better and evaluate their ability to help the team. "I want to get to know new players who can help the team, both technically and personally. The players I'm not calling up performed very well in the first call-up", said Ancelotti. The coach also reiterated that Neymar's presence is essential for the team, but that he needs to be in good physical condition to be called up. "Neymar had a physical problem last week. I don't need to test him - everyone knows Neymar very well - but he must arrive in good physical condition to perform at his best at the World Cup", said Ancelotti. The Brazil national football team will face Bolivia on September 9, in a game that will be played outside of Brazil.
