The Brazilian national football team will continue with four forwards against Chile in the penultimate game of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers – at Maracanã, on Thursday (4). Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti said in a press conference on Wednesday (3) that he plans to see the team playing offensively, but without neglecting defense. To this end, he decided to maintain the strategy from the last match against Paraguay. The Brazilian attack should start with Raphinha, Estêvão, João Pedro, and Gabriel Martinelli. The four played together on Tuesday afternoon (2) in the first training session with all the players called up for the game. On the same team were Alisson, Wesley, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães, and Douglas, as well as Casemiro and Bruno Guimarães. "I tested four forwards in training. The idea is to play without changing too much from what we did in the game against Paraguay. I'll be fielding a lot of forwards, but the important thing is to keep the team balanced and defend well," he said.
