What did Ancelotti announce?
Ancelotti confirmed he will build a new squad, testing young players while retaining key veterans from the last World Cup. - We will start assembling a new team, observing and testing young players, but without letting go of some athletes who were with us in the World Cup and still have much to contribute - the coach stated.

Alongside Ancelotti were Rodrigo Caetano (general coordinator of men’s national teams), Cícero Souza (general manager), Juan Santos (technical coordinator), Cristiano Nunes (fitness coordinator), Bruno Baquete and Thomaz Araújo (performance analysts), Guilherme Passos (physiologist), and Sérgio Dimas (general supervisor). The focus is on preparing the team for the World Cup qualifiers and the Copa América.
Brazil’s upcoming fixtures
The Seleção returns to action in September with two friendlies against Australia, on the 25th and 29th, both away. The first match is at North Queensland Stadium in Townsville, and the second at Brisbane Stadium. A third friendly is yet to be announced.
